The stapler is iconic of office workers, which is essentially what anyone who works at a computer is. Contrasting the bleak outlook of office life is a whole heap o’ happy green nature – something I was lucky enough to live in for my teenage years and appreciate every day. To me, the nature represents something I love — in this case art.
Are you with me so far? Let’s put it in programming terms for the developers in the audience.

Mossy Stapler = Web Design

This is where it gets a bit ‘artsy’ — just a heads up. The moss growing over the stapler represents a combination of my love for art with my search for a career. The unison of the two in a balance of form and texture is a comment on my feelings about web design — that I can get the job done without my own creativity suffering; the very reason I chose not to pursue a career in music.

So there it is; let it never again be said that I was copying Steve. :-P
