Feed and Run (to WE ‘05)!

| September 28, 2005 | Category: Web Nerdery

YES, I AM STILL ALIVE.

Wow, threesix months since my last post… ouchEeek :|
This is a very quick note to say that I’ll be in Sydney at WE’05 for the next two days and hope to ‘live blog’ elements of the conference on my shiny new Wordpress.com blog.

Here’s a link to the RSS 2.0 feed of the Web Essentials category over at my beta blog (which I’m enjoying so far – the wordpress.com team are doing a great job of distilling the essence WP into a tidy little mass-consumable package).

Please note, however, this coverage will be nowhere near the quality or quantity offered by someone like Joe Clark. I will be writing up the gritty details upon returning, but my semi-live coverage is targeted more towards the amusing moments that occur in the halls between presentations and the other glimpses that people on the other side of the planet won’t be able to pick up via speaker notes and mini-sites.

holy crap it’s been hot down here the last couple of days. glad i packed that stupidly large bag, i’d have died without shorts.

Ben: barely ;) In retrospect, I probably wouldn’t walk through Kings Cross after midnight on a Saturday with a laptop and a suitacase again… That was pretty dumb!

It’s certainly not too early to plan for WE’06 – I’ve already approached Russ about applying to be a speaker :D

Somehow I managed to be at the hotel way too early after the after party…

Hey hey, it’s the girl reponsible for the after party’s after party :D

Topic? Hmmm….. it starts with ‘X’, but that’s all I’m going to say for now. WE’06 is still a long way off and I’m going to have to pay a lot of bribes between now and then if I want to score a spot as a speaker ;)

I may be wrong but I thought I remember seeing an email on the WSG list saying WE06 is not going ahead.

That’s not to say something equally brilliant won’t take it’s place but what is important is that sometime this year, you deliver your mystery presentation, dubbed ‘Andrew K-X’…

Also, hope ye ol’ Director is treating you well but I seriously doubt it, I am actually surprised I haven’t seen a ‘I hate Director’ post on your noninteractive blog, similar to your interesting one on Visio a little while ago.

    Catch ya soon mate,
    Ryno
