Another Year Older

| January 21, 2005 | Category: Site News

Today’s my 23rd birthday, and I really couldn’t care less. What a strange feeling — I’m neither excited nor stressed by the concept of aging. Oh well.

…and a big happy birthday to my friend and collegue, Brady J. Frey. No wonder we so often see eye to eye! ;-)

You might change your mind on that when you hit 30 ;-)

    Cheers to being 23!

I just turned 23 on the 10th of this month, and I pretty much felt the same way you do.

Congrats, enjoy. Birthdays are to be enjoyed after all. Though I have a subtle fear that you people a bit ahead of our time. So it’s late. Heck, I hope it was good.

Happy Birthday Andrew! I still have you by one year - it’s ok, you’ll get there soon enough:)

I admit, I don’t care much for birthday’s either. I had an interesting conversation with my sister the other day, she’s a leap year baby, and will be 29 this year; she said ‘Can you believe it? You’ll be 24, I’ll be 29… do you remember when we were kids or in high school – that was @&^# ancient!! But I don’t feel old, it’s so odd…’

It is so odd, with more oddness to come:)

…and it’s not late for me in the US, it’s 10:14am, January 21st in San Francisco!

Happy birthday! I felt the same way at 23. Enjoy it while it lasts. After 25, the years come at you in double-time. Or so I’m told (only 26).

Thanks everyone! Wow, such a warm response :) I guess losing the excitement that comes with birthdays is a good indication that I’m almost an adult… ALMOST!!! :D

Brady: I know I threatened to post that embarrassing shot of you, but I just couldn’t do it… it’s still in storage though ;)

Ah, 23. I remember it well. I don’t think much about aging and birthdays either, but for about a month before and a month after my 30th, it got really freaky. Everything’s fine now, though.
[casting furtive glances left and right]

I hope it was a good day for you. Happy belated birthday, Andrew. I look forward to what you’ll put out there this year. Cheers.

24 is useless too. I have a feeling 25 is going to be pretty big, hopefully for the right reasons. A quarter of a century. It’s almost 30, officially old. And officially too old for college chicks.

Senility can’t be too far away.

Ok, I’ll fix that up, but the myriad of other bugs this site suffers from are going to wait for version two… Which is actually happening, contrary to what people have been saying to me via email and MSN.
