Our Leader is a Lapdog

| September 28, 2004 | Category: General

Don't be an international sheep, Australia This isn’t going to become one of those political blogs, I promise.
Australia is about to have a Federal election, one which will hopefully see an end to our deplorable foreign policy - a policy which includes our weakest leader blindly following the US’ most untrustworthy President.

This is a brief note to my fellow Australians.
We are not the 51st State, but we could be. Please think about that on voting day.

Well, that’s all I really want to say on this matter. Obviously I could go into detail about some of John Howard’s lies and cover ups from his previous three terms in office, or I could discuss his “obedient puppy” policy of following George Dubbya off the edge of a cliff; but I don’t need to.

I can only pray in our upcoming election the monkey is out, and a leader is in.

Remember, a good book to read is ‘Jennifer Government’ written by a rather popular Australian underground writer… and in the future, Australia is a province of the United States. I think he feels the same was as you do:)

Every leader of a country seems to be a Bush lapdog.

Last year it was Tony Blair following at Bush’s heels. That doesn’t happen so much anymore, so hopefully yours will follow soon. Although I don’t follow Australian politics too much so I dunno ;)

Chris: Our Prime Minister was the first leader of any country to offer military support to the US after 9/11. At the time I agreed with the move, but now Australia is firmly stuck in “The Bush Family War”. Not to mention the fact that Bush directly interfered wih our democracy by saying that if the current leader lost power the US would be unlikely to continue sharing military secrets! Maybe he thinks of Australia as Little Florida? ;-)

Problem is, I don’t know what Australian English is… From what I’ve seen it’s closer to British English than to American English…

Well although I didn’t agree with Latham wanting to pull troops out of Iraq I wanted him to win, alas Mr. Sheen is PM once again and interest rates will rise bringing an end to the liberal’ reign in office. I can’t believe how bad the results for labour were.
